My son won an award at his football presentation and the staff at the hotel upgraded us to a bigger room and gave him a free drink and a snack. The barman also gave me a free drink too. "Location great in the middle of Bakewell, parking on site. Friendly helpful staff. Evening meal in a lovely decorated restaurant was excellent and non too expensive Good selection for breakfast. All in all a very enjoyable overnight stay. Wished I’d booked for a longer stay"

"This was my fifth stay at the Palace Hotel, I also go to Buxton Opera House to see a show. We booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel.Check in was great, very pleasant receptionist.Our evening meal last night was lovely, great service from a pleasant waitress and the meal was very tasty! I had a good night's sleep in room 301,it has has a new bathroom suite with a lovely shower, I had no noise disturbances from other guests going into their rooms. Self service breakfast was great! I absolutely love walking down the grand staircase. It's a gorgeous hotel and I love when I get a room with a view of the Buxton hills! "
