"Bare in mind this is a Victorian seaside building looks a little rough from the outside but inside is very clean and tidy. Veiws of Torbay are utterly outstanding and the hotel is designed to make the most of the veiws. Staff are wonderfully professional, smart and helpful. Car parking is available on site for an additional charge which is taken when checking in. The hotel is a short five minute walk from Torquay harbour on quite a steep hill, a further five minutes to walk to the town cente. The hotel has its own health and spa facilities which are included for guests to enjoy. Towels and lockers porvided free of charge, Breakfasts are of exellent quallity and taste buffet style for both hot and cold foods served in air condition dining area exploiting fantastic views of Torbay. The room I had was a little dated but perfectly functional and comfortable, again making the most of the veiws of Torbay. Rooms would benifit if there was a fridge and air conditioning provided. We would definitely stay here again."

"Cosy Thatched Coastal Retreat is a compact, beautiful property with a wonderful thatched roof—a real rarity these days. There is a designated parking space right outside, which makes unloading and loading easy. Inside, the layout flows from a cosy living area into a well-equipped, modern kitchen, leading through to a peaceful bedroom with a generous double bed, plenty of storage, and an immaculate en-suite shower room. There is also a rear door leading out to your own garden space. The overall cleanliness was spot on, the surroundings are very quiet, and the Wi-Fi is reliable and fast. Neil is a fantastic host: warm, welcoming, and very patient (especially when I managed to get the Wi-Fi password wrong!). His local knowledge is second to none, and he is always happy to point you toward the best spots. I loved my stay here, slept brilliantly, and had a great time exploring the nearby sites. Thank you, Neil!"

"Parking is good you can park.outsude the property free of charge. Staff friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy but compact. The shower was very small and the door was difficult to. close and open once inside It. The bed was too soft and kept moving away from the wall. The room was very hot even with the window open which made it difficult to sleep. However, the breakfast was very good. It was a buffet with my favourite tinned tomatoes an option. Also there was a proper toater"

"Lovely guest house in a quiet area, but just a few minutes walk from the sea front We received a lovely warm welcome from Lynn & Scott Our room with an en suite bathroom with a shower was lovely fresh & clean The bed and pillows were super comfortable We were there to celebrate my husband’s 65th birthday and a card & celebration banner were left in the room. Such a nice touch and so thoughtful Breakfast the following morning was delicious and very substantial Fruit juice, tea & coffee, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, toast & a very tasty full English cooked breakfast. We will certainly stay here again when visiting lovely Babbacombe and would highly recommend Babbacombe Palms Guest House"
