Advertised as a “ 5 star apartment “ .... filthy with broken beds , broken cupboards , no kitchen equipment , boiler broken so no hot water or heating , and a health hazard with a hole in the ceiling light with water dripping through on to your head in the toilet. Had to leave after 1 terrible night. "

"This is the third Locke I have stayed in in England. They are high-end accommodation with an "arty feel" which on the surface appears to be first class. They are _comfortable_, but all of them have failed to really deliver what they promise (i.e., there is a style over substance problem). This Locke suffered from some of the problems they all have (dim lighting and poor instructions as to how to use the inscrutable Smeg appliances). For this Locke the TV channels were all dead, and the washer...

"We enjoyed our stay at Hampton by Hilton London City very much. The location was super convenient for us - close to the Aldgate East tube station. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and it was always quiet even when the hotel was busy. The buffet breakfast was well appreciated as well. No complaints :) We’d happily stay here again. Thanks to the lovely staff!"

"Modern eclectic eco friendly hotel close to the tube. Nice big room and very comfortable queen bed in the standard double room. Lots of options for food nearby, even late. Self serve tea/coffee service on each floor was kind of awkward to have to leave the room, quite loud and was glad not to have a room near the machine. Wished I had a room with the dog photo behind the bed. "

Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast offered. Worth the supplement. We enjoyed our stay, even if it’s not in the most iconic part of London. However, it’s close to the Tower of London and Tower bridge whiz is nice. "
