Harbor Kee Peaceful Escape By The Bay

"This gem of a property was exactly what we were seeking for our getaway. The charm of the 1860s home, old growth Monterey cypress and eucalyptus groves with the peek-a-boo view of the Bay was magical. Each morning and evening we were treated to a parade of deer, quail and turkeys while the pelicans roosted in the tree grove up the hill. Our pups enjoyed the enclosed yard as we sipped wine and read books. An incredibly relaxing oasis! The bed was very comfortable with memory foam topper and the kitchen well-provisioned. Only feedback would be to trim up the trees for even better Bay viewing!"

"Beautiful location and home. It was quiet, with plenty of bright light from windows and all rooms had doors to the decks. It was clean and cozy and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, all three of us agreed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, especially the coffee for our mornings on the deck. Savannah checked in with us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and check in was super easy. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"Can't beat the location, that's for sure. Really enjoyed the wood burning stove in the evenings while overlooking the bay. Coffee on the balcony was a fantastic way to wake up in the morning. The birds and seals/sea lions all around the bay made for a lovely morning of sights and sounds. We were originally going to stay at the Lodge on Bodega Bay, and I'm happy we chose this place instead. We ended up going to Drakes to have cocktails at the outside firepits, and then dinner afterwards. Drakes is located at the Lodge, and honestly, I think was the best part about the property. So the fact that you can drink and dine there without staying at the Lodge makes it worthwhile to look at other options like this property. Couple small issues to note:Noise transfer was in the description of the rental, so we were expecting some from the other units. The electronic fog horn at Bodega Bay goes off 24/7 every 10 seconds, and is audible through the walls. This did wake us up a bit earlier than expected. So depending on the renter, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who may be a light sleeper.Beds/pillows weren't the greatest, and the squeaky/creaky basic frames must definitely contribute to noise transfer to the renters below. This is something I hope the host may consider improving down the road. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend the place to others. I always feel compelled to leave honest reviews so future renters can set their expectations."

"This house was everything and more. The gated property was 100% what we wanted and needed with our grandchildren and our dog: Jodi was awesome with correspondence and had all the information we needed for the trips we wanted to book. Fishing and Horseback riding. We would 100% rent again. Darling house with plenty of sleeping area."

"You’ll truly be amazed at the location/view here. Follow all the details carefully. There are many stairs to haul your items. This is clearly stated. The cottage is good for a couple - okay room, but not huge. Consider bringing foldable outdoor chairs for the deck. Note; the outdoor space above the water is very narrow - just fits a chair. No table on that deck. Open windows and doors feel like you’re outside though. Clearly stated the kitchen has no cooking availability - only a microwave. Easy to work that out. There’s no cutting board, no knife larger than small paring knife. Some condiments in cupboard. Keurig and pods were provided when we asked. Note: the bed is quite high.. very comfortable. Also note: if noise disrupts your sleep you might be bothered by the constant foghorn. This place is one-of-a-kind. Close to trails, small towns to walk, beaches. Great local seafood."

"My wife and I enjoyed this house. It was clean and comfortable, had a well-equipped kitchen, and an unobstructed view of the bay. We really liked having our cocktails in the back yard, which had terraced landscaping with native plants. We appreciated that the yard was securely enclosed for our dog. We had a small problem figuring out where to park, and the host responded with a phone call to our email message within about 60 seconds. Problem solved. Nice. We didn't use the sauna, but it looked inviting. This is the perfect house for one or two couples."
