Venice is a nice place to visit if you like going to a very clean beach. I mean, the beach is huge with white sand and a Beach/Boardwalk just like Santa Cruz. Plenty of dining high and low end. The traffic is horrendous though at rush hour.

There is an unhoused people with mental health or substance abuse issues here, that, at times, like a lot of larger cities, can feel unsafe.

Venice is a busy vibrant area, much better than the more subdued beaches to the north and south if you're looking for action when you walk out the door, Venice is great

Venice was lovely when we rented some peddle bikes and took in all the sites.
"Perfect for our 1 night stay to catch a plane at LAX. Shuttle ran every 30 minutes 24 hours a day. Had multiple restaurants to choose from so we didn’t even have to leave the hotel. Clean and comfortable. "
