"Elevator went out due to snake entering mechanical room wrapping itself into pulley system.. it was resolved quickly.. stairs had to be used but help was made available by their staff… loved that stair way has rails both sides and there aren’t that many stairs between floors.. makes for great exit in case of emergency.. even my husband who uses Walker could hold on to both rails making decent easy.. overall we enjoyed our stay.. the outside pool was slightly heated by a waterfall system made it really nice in the windy evening.. would definitely stay there again.. oh and the breakfast was awesome.. they have everything .. "

"This is the second time we've stayed at Royal Inn. They are one of the very few motels that still has smoking rooms, which is a plus for us (tobacco only, btw). The room rate through Travelocity was *very* affordable. Our room was clean and smelled nice, and the air conditioner worked well to keep the Texas heat and humidity *outside*. We only stayed overnight this time, and check-in and check-out was a breeze. The attached restaurant, Taqueria Mazatlan, serves authentic Mexican food that's delicious and affordable. And the staff is friendly and provided excellent customer service. We will book a room at Royal Inn again when we visit Port Lavaca. "

"From start to finish this was a great house. The owners communicated to welcome us the morning of our reservation. I had questions about fishing, they responded within 20 min. The check-in was super simple. These owners want you to feel at home, as they allow you to use the house as if it is your own: spices in the kitchen, pots/pans, shampoo, laundry machines, etc. The kids and us really enjoyed the journal (you'll understand when you rent), was such a nice such! The house is initmate, cozy, and you do NOT feel spread out. You come as a family/group, and you feel that together'ness. All of the reviewers raves about the outside porch, and it does not disappoint. The kids played soccer and volleyball in the yard about a day at the beach/pool, they enjoyed the yard, shady trees, etc. There is a small fenced in area if you bring your pet. There is literally nothing I can say I would change. Everywhere we needed to go was within a 20 min drive. The walmart/HEB was close. The bleach/splashpad for the kids was near the walmart. Fishing was in multiple locations, within 15-20 min. Everything was really close. There is a General store 45 seconds away from the house for simple items (we did not go in, forgot to). Internet worked just find. We would def recommend this house to others who stay in Port Lavaca. "

"As always our stay was nice and comfortable. Little issue getting tv to work but front desk came and helped in a jiffy. Ice make wasn't working, but other than that our room was clean."
