"The hotel was excellent, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed was nice and big. They have an essence spray as you walk into reception that weirdly just makes the whole place feel inviting. We stayed for two nights to go to a local club and we did a Spa day at the hotel's Y Spa on the Saturday which was brilliant."

"this is a wonderful place to stay which is not too far away to Churchill College and also there is a supermarket next to the hotel. Besides the staff members are very friendly and helpful and polite. It is next to the bus stop so that you can take the bus to/from Central Area of Cambridge without driving with your car. When you drive the car please note that you cannot go through Eddington Road between 7am to 7pm every day as it is being restricted with public transportation service and/or emergency service vehicle. The parking space is very limited on street but you can pay for on-site parking but you have to make sure that you have pre-booked with the hotel directly."

"I like Maddingley Hall. It’s a beautiful old country house now part of the University and has lovely grounds. The rooms are a bit Spartan as they are basically student bedsits but all the essentials are there, and my room was made up each day which a lot of hotels don’t do list Covid! Lovely dining room for breakfast. Dinner was bar meals - limited menu but good value and tasty, which is more than I can say for the supper I had at Bella Italian inn Cambridge which was distinctly indifferent and cost a lot more! Ok, not a luxury hotel but I don’t like paying for A lot of facilities I am not going to use. I had free parking in a safe and secure car park, free WiFi which worked well and a shower bathroom which suits me perfectly. Friendly staff, a good bar and I did not have to take out a mortgage to get a large glass of wine. The Uni run a lot of courses there as part of the continuing education offering and if I have time I would love to do a course there as the place has a nice atmosphere."

It was easy to communicate with them, no matter the time, and instructions on where to go and what to do when I arrived (I was a very late arrival) were clear and easy to follow. Details on how to get to surrounding attractions were also very useful."
