"Lady who checked us in was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble even though she was really busy. Restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly. There was a long gap between our starter and getting our main meal which was the only downside. We had to ask for the child’s meal to be brought as it was getting quite late. Food was hot and tasty when it was eventually served. Booking a slot in the pool was easy. Our room was clean, well stocked with toiletries, tea and coffee and the beds were very comfy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again. "

"Stayed here overnight while visiting family and would definitely stay again. The staff were great especially Tara in reception. The continental breakfast is good with plenty of options which we were quite happy with especially as it’s included in the price. The outdoor seating area by the restaurant is very nice and very peaceful. You could barely hear traffic despite being so close to a busy road. The driveway is quite potholed and in need of some TLC. Our room was clean and not bad overall especially for the price although the double glazing in the window is badly blown and full of condensation so wouldn’t keep the warmth in the room during the winter Overall we were quite happy and would definitely recommend based on the location, the staff and the price. "

"Lovely welcome from reception, easy free parking .Added bonus of swimming and spa pool,again with super friendly and helpful staff , offer of fresh fruit after swim which was a nice touch . Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice."

"During our 3 weeks visit to the UK we visited of 25 historic homes and gardens. This was our only opportunity to actually stay in one. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Not only did we stay at a historic site but one that had modern facilities and amenities also. Couldn’t have been better. The staff was great too. "
