Location, location, location! This cottage is an easy walk to Tahoe Park's HOA beach, Firesign Cafe (a local favorite!), and West Shore Market. The quintessential log home could not be more reminiscent of Lake Tahoe, and includes all the creature comforts one might wish for in an ideal mountain cabin. A Restoration Hardware "Cloud" sectional and 50" flat screen television make the cozy living room the perfect place to cuddle up while snow falls outside, or to gather together after a summer day on the lake. The home's small kitchen has been updated with new stainless steel appliances, and opens to the fully landscaped and fenced yard with patio.

Upstairs, the Primary bedroom stretches from the front to back of the house, and features a comfortable sitting area and gas stove. The spacious room even provides space to set up a crib or pack and play for the little ones who've come along. On this floor, you'll also find a guest bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. Downstairs, the third guest room and second bathroom provide convenience for those who may prefer not to navigate a full set of stairs during the stay.

ABOUT THE AREA

Conveniently located three and a half miles south of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe's west shore, you'll find the quiet residential neighborhood known as Tahoe Park. Just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach, this neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter.

Access to the Lake Tahoe Park Associate HOA beach offers an escape from summer crowds and the convenient location means you'll never sit in west shore traffic. The Tahoe Park beach offers over three acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, a playground, basketball, bocce ball, volleyball, and picnic areas.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel just twenty minutes to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

Very cute and well-stocked cottage for family getaway. Tahoe City location close to hiking, skiing and sledding fun, and during heavy snowfall there is plenty to enjoy in the cottage itself (including hot tub!) Would return again!

We can't wait to stay here again! Fountain Cottage was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the location, close to a general store, the best breakfast in Tahoe, and a beautiful beach/playground. The home was easy to navigate and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time with our son and DIL. The house is well appointed, super clean, and just a block from the lake. Great location within walking distance for groceries and dining. Great spot for biking. Loved the fenced-in yard and beautiful garden.

Great location, cozy house. We loved that the master suite was upstairs and away from the living area - great if you’re traveling with a group and need some space. Beds are comfy and we had everything we needed and were a very short walk to some of our West Shore favorites. The backyard is beautiful, hot tub clean and garage was useful as we had a few baby supplies we stored out there (stroller, carrier, etc). We’d definitely stay again!

Fountain Cottage is a delightful cabin , well stocked with supplies, very comfortable warm beds, to die for couch. It is located within walking distance of West shore of Tahoe with exquisite views. There is an excellent breakfast cafe and market to walk to. The property company was very quick to respond to any questions we had. It was a heavenly trip to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary with our family.

Super clean vacation rental. Beautiful update of the house. Super comfortable beds. The garage is available for mt bike storage and has beach chairs, cooler and two bikes. The backyard was perfect for our little dog and the hot tub water was clean. The campground is directly behind the house and was very quiet. The linens were high quality. The only thing I would change is to have a lighter down blanket. The down comforters are more suited to the dead of winter. Overall, a wonderful vacation rental.

Kind of disappointing in the cleanliness part when we arrived. The kitchen counter, table were sticky, living room and bedroom wasn't vacuumed and the mirror in the master and the nightstands were not clean. It was gross! I used our alcohol wipes to clean everything. Not what I planned on doing when we arrived. We do spend a lot for cleaning. My suggestion is to check the houses prior to renting so this doesn't repeat. Other than that, we love the fountain house. A great location for hiking and walking!

I've been wanting to stay at this cabin forever and so happy I was able to. It's so cute and cozy. It's up the street from the West shore market and lake. The location is amazing. There is a camp ground behind the house so it's very quiet after dark. This cabin unknowingly has so many great rooms! The rooms and beds are cozy, the master suite is amazing and spacious. The living room and kitchen can be a little tight if you have a full house, but the backyard is amazing. The table and chairs outdoors are perfect for any meal. The garage is also spacious enough for our truck and two bikes. I definitely recommend this place and Tahoe Getaways is a great company to work with.

We unfortunately had to reschedule out August trip to October due to fires but still enjoyed the trip immensely! This house is so great. Beds were so comfortable. Location is fantastic for what we were doing. I gave it a four because the couch is so low and uncomfortable it was not fun to relax on at the end of a long day of bike riding or hours of pickleball. The backyard is a plus too since it’s not only fenced but landscaped so nicely.

One of the best dog-friendly homes I've rented in Tahoe. It included all of the necessary amenities, wonderful beds, beautiful yard, lovely neighbors and clean and well appointed. The stairs to the upper level a little steep, but otherwise, wonderful home. I will be back!

We were looking for a place for the two of us to unwind and get away from Covid worries. Fountain Cottage was a great solution. The location perfect: quiet, not so crowded, space to walk, close to the lake and Ward Park. The cabin was perfect for two, with its smallish but tidy kitchen and its spacious master bedroom. The fenced back yard was a hit for our GSP. We did have to handle the steep stairs with care, which could have been safer with a non-slippery surface. A minor annoyance was the down stairs TV, which we could not get to work.

We loved the location, cleanliness, and cozy feeling. The kitchen was well equipped and internet connection was solid. The hot tub was very nice and the hiking opportunities nearby were exquisite. The TV system could be tricky at times but we figured it out. The smoke detectors goes off if you take a warm shower with the door open in the upstairs bathroom, which was new for us:-) But overall, we loved our stay, had a great time and would be happy to return!
