"This is such a wonderful gem in the lovely village of Painswick! The room is spacious and welcoming, so comfortable after a day of traveling! "Food was really gorgeous. We had breakfast, dinner and cream tea there. All excellent. Room was very comfortable but small. Hotel garden lovely. Drinks great. Service was haphazard: often had to go inside to seek or give a food order, or request cutlery once food had come etc, as hard to flag someone down once we’d been seated/served. Some staff were welcoming, some were brusk. Hotel in beautiful town and was a lovely place. Overall, would go again. "

Room small, poorly furnished, one drawer in room, half size wardrobe containing an electric box hung on wire. No tea or coffee facilities in room. ‘Private’ bathroom along landing.
