10/10 Excellent

"The lodge is idyllic, the staff is excellent, and the grounds are immaculate. The resort is run with Austrian efficiency - so be on time for tours! Great hiking trails and abundant wildlife - we saw a Black Bear! Dining is very Austrian-themed - limited choices for vegetarians - and pricey, even for Stowe. The classic mountain lodge combined with the von Trapp legend make for a memorable vacation."

Tälta Lodge, A Bluebird by Lark

8/10 Good

"We loved the location and the views from our room. The small bathroom was a little challenging. The biggest issue we had was the bed. The floor of our room wasn't level therefore the bed was slanted. Our heads were lower than our feet and it was pretty uncomfortable. They allowed us to leave our bikes in the bike rental building and I am pretty sure someone used my bike. Probably need better communication among staff."

"No gym on the premises and the door to our room opened and closed really hard. The heat/air conditioner was confusing from lower floor to top floor. The room was gorgeous though and the wedding we were there for was great. Super fun spacious 2-floor room. Very nice! Walking distance to a lot of places nearby too."

Grey Fox Inn

2/10 Terrible

"The Grey Fox Inn was very nice and had everything we needed for our stay. Our only issue involved a booking error. We accidentally checked in a day later than the dates that were originally booked. On our second day, we were informed that we did not actually have a reservation for that night. Because we booked through Expedia, the inn would not apply the unused night we had already paid for toward the additional night we needed. As a result, we had to pay for another night even though one prepaid night went unused. I understand that the original mistake was mine. However, since no one else was staying there and the room would have otherwise remained empty, I feel the inn could have shown some flexibility and allowed us to use the night we had already paid for. We paid for three nights but only stayed two, which is why I’m leaving a lower rating than I otherwise would have."

Topnotch Resort

"Highlights first: Definitely a top notch gym! The same for the views, the spa area, and the concierge. We really enjoyed the pools and it was good to have indoor and outdoor options. The staff and drinks at Flannel were great! Low lights: There needs to be more monitoring of kids’ behavior at the pool because the parents sure didn't set enough boundaries. Enforce no jumping, diving, and hot tubs for unaccompanied kids. The food at the restaurant (the Roost) was pretty mid and the least enjoyable part of our stay. The faucet in the shower/tub screeched like crazy when in shower mode. Overall: we’ll be back."
