"We loved the proximity to places in Stirling and the proximity for day trips. The only reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness was because some shifts of housekeeping are a bit lazy and chose to refold and hang used towels rather than replace them, coffee wasn't always replenished, and sheets after a week were not changed unless we specifically asked. We stayed two weeks. I would absolutely stay here again, I just know to stay on top of housekeeping. They have a restaurant and bar at the hotel...

"Stayed for 2nights with grandson...room was lovely...spacious..view of the loch would have been lovely...check in was fine...a bit out of town, and road really bad with potholes..! Breakfast was adequate and service very nice..lovely grounds, grandson enjoyed the checkers...swimming pool not too crowded so most enjoyable too"

"We loved this hotel! We splurged for an upgraded room and it had a wonderful view of the street out front. The room was large and beautiful, and the hotel was in a very cool, historic building just a short walk from the tourist sights (the Old Jail and the Stirling Castle). Also, unlike many hotels in the heart of touristy areas, the parking was easy (but not inexpensive). I highly recommend the Colessio hotel! However, I can't recommend their breakfast - the continental breakfast buffet...

"The details on Expedia said that there was a pool at the property, this is untrue, the pool is a 10 minute walk away, and a 10 minute walk back, which was manageable the first day because the weather good. The second day however torrential rain meant I was not prepared to make the 20 minute round trip to swim. I would have booked Creiff Hydro had I know about the location of the pool. Not happy about being deceived."

"Very clean, close to amenities and the main road. Good place for a base to do things in the area. Close to walkers for the dog. Will stay again "
