Top Old Town Jail Hotel Reviews

Friars Wynd Hotel

Friars Wynd Hotel

8/10 Good
"I was surprised there was no reception or anyone to greet us. The entry looked like an abandoned bar. We tried to call a phone number from a sign on the window, but nobody answered. Because we arrived after 3pm, we wanted to go sightseeing before everything closed, so we took the risk of leaving our luggage unattended. Luckily, when we came back, we were able to call and talk to someone to check us in. The rooms were lovely & clean. Check out was contactless, so again, nobody to confirm our stay was at its end."

"Great apt for family of 3 or 4. Everything you need is provided. Sandra is excellent host w lots of suggestions. Mint for breakfast was delicious. We did get a parking ticket so be sure to upload parking app to avoid going over on your time. (we preferred to keep car out front). EVERYTHING is uphill so be prepared w good walking shoes."

St Johns Jailhouse by the Castle

St Johns Jailhouse by the Castle

10/10 Excellent
"St Johns Jailhouse by the Castle was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Lots of attention to detail; everything was perfect. We used Stirling as a base to explore the surrounding area and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk and Dundee were all in easy reach. Great communication from Daniel the host, and a really smooth check in / out process. Thank you 😁"
