"My husband and I have been to Isla a few times in the past and have always chosen to stay on the south side of the island and have never regretted it. This time we stayed at Casa Mariposa and loved every minute of it. The privacy is amazing. We spent lots of time in the pool, up on the roof, and taking impromptu naps in the cool air conditioning. We cooked quite a bit, and when shopping at Chedraui we even made sure to get a bag of spinach leaves for the security iguana (we called him Paco) and his gal pal which I think they appreciated. There are good casual restaurants within walking distance (El Borracho Burro, Rancho Capricha, The Joint) a mini super (for snacks and drinks) and the best rooftop views you could ask for. Alfonso (property manager) came by to check on us and housekeeping, the pool guys, and the lawn guy were all very quiet, quick, and thorough and we barely even knew they were there. The power never went out when we were there and the WiFi connection was great. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more relaxing vacation. Next time, we will have to make it longer than 7 days! "Our stay at Casa Musica was fantastic and we are already discussing how we quickly we can return. The home is better than advertised as it is hard to point out how comfortable you are as soon as you arrive. The pool is private and we especially enjoyed watching the tourists pass. The home is very comfortable and the Sonos music system is a great touch. The outdoor shower is a special treat and the outdoor palapa kitchen and living area gives that island vibe that you find in very few homes. We can't say enough good things about the home and location. Being at the quiet end of the island is really nice but it was an easy golf cart drive to the playa norte area. A special thanks to Sofia and the staff for taking such good care of us and seeing to all our needs. We are looking forward to returning to Casa Musica."

"This house is so Authentic Mexico. It's absolutely adorable. You truly feel like you are part of their beautiful culture as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms have the textured cement walls, Mexican tiles, a great outside atrium with a waterfall and plants. The pool was the perfect temperature to swim day and night. Owners contacted me a couple of times before I arrived with the house information & Caretakers left us some breakfast food, coffee & tea and snacks (very few VRBO are that generious).There is a AMAZING view of the ocean and was a wonderful breeze so we ate meals outside. But one of the coolest things to me was the Mayan Ruins are less then 1/2 mile away and if you walk up to the 3rd floor sitting area you can see them. The house does get hot during the day but as soon as you open all the windows (yes all windows and doors have screens) there was a great cross breeze (In May) and the A/C work great in the rooms. We had a wonderful time there and throughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Dave, Janet & Lupita"

"We stayed in penthouse unit 10 and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. It was clean, well layed out, had everything we needed and three balconies that had unbelievable views of the bay over to Cancun. It is on the south end of the island so much quieter but a little bit of a drive if you are spending a lot of time back and forth into town or north beach. We did a day at castillo garafon, which is the snorkeling park just behind the building. It is about $11 per person but a nice place to hang and good snorkeling for fish, but does close at 5pm. Unfortunately we were not able to use the pool as it was closed for an unexpected reconstruction, but it would have made the stay even better to come back and relax in the pool after a day on the beach. Delia, our host notified us of this issue and was very accommodating and was responsive and friendly to work with. Caesar was there to check us in and was very friendly. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It is quiet and if you like to relax on the balcony and breath in the beauty of isla this is the place to be. The only downside is that there are quite a few steps to get to the unit as well as 3 floors inside. So if steps don’t bother you it’s a good quad workout."

"Came with a group of friends to celebrate birthdays. The house was beautiful and the location, with the views, was stunning. Its walking distance to several restaurants and bars. We did not feel the need for a golf cart. Taxis were quicker, when needed, and fairly inexpensive. Hank was on top of everything we asked and was a great help! Thank you Hank and Toto for making our trip amazing!"

"This place was a DREAM!!! We had the best time here on my bachelorette. The pictures don’t do the place justice. Communication was great, and Eliaz helped us arrange golf cart rentals and groceries to be ready once we arrived. We are a close group of friends, so the open rooms for sleeping worked well for us, but other than the tree house room and separate guest house the rooms are open if that influences anyone’s selection. We had no issues with hot water and the AC worked well the throughout the entire duration of our stay. Highly recommend and hope to come back one day!"
