"Following three failed attempts to check in on arrival due to an unmanned desk, the rest of the stay was excellent, mostly down to the wonderful Sunny whom ensured our stay was comfortable and with plenty of supplies due to the weather conditions. The only downside was a faulty light in our room which constantly flashed on and off during the night which disturbed our sleep a little. We reported it twice, hoping for repair or a change of room but it was a weekend so no maintenance was available...

"Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "

"We needed a room to sleep and shower and this room met all our criteria modern and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of off road parking. "

"Very basic hotel the smoke alarm wasn’t working the bath was dirty (although it was a shared bathroom!) there was a good range of products shampoo shower gel etc no tea bags ! No one at a reception desk it was not a manned hotel bed wasn’t very comfortable but it was just a cheap cheerful hotel and you get what you pay for so overall it wasn’t a bad place to stay to get your head down "

"This was my third stay at the Ascott and I will keep coming back whenever I visit my family in Manchester. As an American I very much appreciate the things that make it different from the big hotel chains. It is quiet, it is personal, it is comfortable and to me “very British” which is a good thing. "Room was clean enough, but I didn't like idea of no bathroom in room at all. Parking too far from property didn't feel safe walking at night. Very noise about 03:00 "

"I was the convenient of the shops.but they were a couple of things wrong with the room The toilet flushing system was faulty along with the toilet seat which was loose. The room could do with a bigger tv on the wall so they is more on the desk to work."
