"Concerned about the room. It smelled of mold. Couldn’t really sleep because of the smell and got a headache. There was a a damp rid dehumidifier container on the floor by the AC that was filled with water. I’m assuming something may be wrong with the AC but the smell is very noticeable when you walk in."

"Good hotel with friendly staff. It met our needs perfectly for a one night stay. We came for the concert and this place had a comfy bed and free water which is always a plus. Would definitely stay here again."

"Will comeback Really nice place"

"We had a great stay after a 12-hour drive. The property was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge after a long day on the road!"

"Got checked in early. Beautiful view. Check in was wonderful."

"Courteous staff and good location."

"This is a true gem!"

"Upon checking in their credit card machines was not working. The clerk needing to contact software support, so we went to dinner and came back machines were still down. They had my card on file but said I had to pay cash because they still couldn't access it. If I didn't have cash I needed to go back to town to the ATM and get cash to check in. I should have prepaid and by this time, it's pushing 8:30. We got the $199.43 together and the clerk didn't know how to count 43 cents. She said I didn't...

"Great stay for a trip with my friends and I. The only hotel with rooms that had 3 beds which is what accommodated our needs. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Check out the Oconaluftee Islands Park across the street if you get a chance. The bamboo forest is so pretty. I’d definitely stay here again."

"This is an older property but is very nice for the price. We stayed in three different hotels over three days and this had the best breakfast and the most bang for your buck."

"This property is ideally located near the downtown, yet felt nicely remote and secluded. Our room was nicely renovated and well-appointed. There was a nice combination microwave/convection oven and coffee maker. Plenty of counterspace. While there were some plates and flatware, for those wanting to cook meals it would be advised to bring cookware, utensils, and pot holders. Although there is no on-propery management, there was quick and helpful response by text and telephone. The section we...

"Good mix of the historic with some modern upgrades. Parking can be a little bit challenging, especially at dinner time."

"The only issue we had, and I guess it was more of an issue for someone else. We were woken up at midnight by a phone call from the front desk saying there was a noise complaint from our room. We had just went to sleep and laid in bed for an hour with no tv on or anything, there was no noise coming from our room. Other than that, the room was clean, property was clean, pool and hot tub were nice. No real complaints other than someone saying we were noisy when we weren’t."

"The coffee was great! The rooms were not cleaned and the front desk attendant was alone Saturday at 4:45 and we had to go retrieve fresh towels ourselves."

"We were on the 2nd floor and there was someone right above our room that stomped and danced around the room at 5:30 am for about 2 hours straight - we went to the front desk and let them know - they said they checked out so we were relieved until later that day and it sounded like a child was jumping off the bed for about and hour straight - my husband went to front desk and they said they will take care of it - well - once again we were woken up at 7 am with this same child running and jumping...
