"If you are looking for a rural mountain stay this is the place for you. Built in the early 1900s it's kept to period in most cases with working transoms and antiques all over. They have a pub that has limited hours in the evening and every Tuesdays locals gather to play music and have a jam session. The views are nice and it's located half a mile from the Blueridge parkway. My only complaint was the shade in my room need replacing and was falling apart. Also please note they do not have ac or tvs so if you a a big fan of technology this might not be the place for you. Personally I don't care I travel to get away from technology. I stayed two nights and the food was good. contential breakfast in the morning nothing fancy mostly cerial and yogurt they stuff some mimi muffins. I think they do a big breakfast buffet on the weakends but I stayed in the middle of the week."

"I cannot say enough about my stay at Waterrock. I wanted a secluded rental with an amazing view and I could not have been happier. As an avid photographer and nature lover, I could not have asked for a better fit. The view was breathtaking and each sunrise and sunset better than the last. I came for the fall foliage but I will definitely be back for those spring Rhododendron blooms!"

"This cozy little cabin was great for our anniversary get away! Secluded and peaceful while being close enough to town to enjoy some of what cute little Maggie Valley has to offer. It was clean and cozy with pretty much all the kitchen needs provided. Normally I have to take extra cookware to these rentals and we don’t need them here! The wood burning fire place was wonderful and sitting in the hot tub while being able to see and listen to the creek below us was magical."

"Cute clean place to stay. Problems: Two queens would be better. The subfloor is rotten in a few places and spongy, someone will eventually go through. The curtains were bunched up on the floor in the living room electric wall heater-fire hazard-could not use. A few simple fixes/improvements and this place would be good to go."
