"Front desk was very nice and housekeeping did a good job. Place is dated, everything in my 4th floor room was tired- tub, chipped and worn. Duvet and bed linens thin. Mattress was comfortable. Carpets in rooms and hall rugs need replacing. Pool was ok- but needs some attention to decking, doors and aging windows. Good staff. Interior Physical appearance and quality need serious upgrading. Great location-"

"Great location near the Vineyard and Brewery! The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The room was clean but had an overwhelming scent of bleach upon arrival. The floors were also pretty scratched up considering the rest of the property was in such great shape. Our balcony overlooked some pretty damaged landscaping too. I may stay again because of value and location."

"Room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was without any complaints. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, juices, pastries were all excellent and plentiful. My only complaint was the selection of tv channels. There was no espn channels with live sports. Many men enjoy espn often, if not every day. Big disappointment for me"

"The property is very large. Having one washer and dryer for a property that size is not understandable. Front desk needs to have plenty of quarters for the use of the washer/dryer.Most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were varied and a good selection. The elevator smelled greatly of mold/mildew. The size of our room was great especially w the “punch out” of the wall. The bed was comfortable. I would stay again."

"We stayed at the Howard Johnson in Middletown for a week with our two daughters, and my husband joined us for one night. It was a mixed experience. We checked in late and found a grease stain on the headboard, coffee stains on the desk, fingerprints on the door, a sticky spot on the carpet, and leftover food in the refrigerator. The shower would only drain if we removed the top of the drain. I told the housekeeping manager the next day, but they didn’t seem very concerned. On a cold day, I turned on the heat and the smoke alarms went off, so the heating system needs attention. The overnight front desk employee was very helpful, and the support staff brought us things we needed, including a crib, quickly. They helped keep us comfortable throughout the week. Parking was plentiful, with convenient spots for bringing luggage to the room, and having an Applebee’s connected to the building was handy. The outdoor area was nice. We used the small pool once, but the water looked murky, so we didn’t go back. The room didn’t smell bad, but it wasn’t clean enough for a stay costing about $400 a night. There were some helpful people and conveniences, but overall, I probably wouldn’t stay here again."
