"Hotels in Shenzhen are not really rated at the same level, in terms of stars, as those in many other metropolitan areas. 5-star ratings here seem to be more like 4-star elsewhere. This Ritz had great service but the room itself is not that well maintained. My biggest gripe is the ventilation in my room (which was upgraded for free to the executive level) was poor. "Good hotel. Good service. Breakfast was a bit boring, nothing special or fascinating. Room TV can do screen casting and provide a charging port for USB charging at the bedside which is something basic in the current high-tech world but I rarely see it in old hotels so I am pleased that Shangri-La thought of this.
