I visited this hotel from Japan. I relaxed at the pool every day. It's all thanks to Baron, the senior lifeguard. He doesn't speak much English yet, but I was impressed by his hospitality. Spacious room with magnificent view. Nice buffet breakfast with attentive service. It is conveniently located and just 3 min walking distance from Convention ＆ Exhibition Centre Station Exit D. Will come again and highly recommended.

Though we waited pretty long for check in, reception staff were kind and helpful in explaining to us and making sure we were comfortable while waiting. Celebrated our anniversary here and the room was nicely prepared by the reception team, appreciate it loads! Disappointed we could not earn loyalty points for this stay though

Lovely hotel in a good location

We got an upgrade to the club floor for the premier corner room which we booked was not available even at 5pm. It’s a lovely hotel in good location but the facilities is a bit dated and not maintained properly. Restaurant is not big enough for an upscale hotel like this. It cannot accommodate all the guests who came down for breakfast. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we could get a table. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great lobby, helpful staff, but dated rooms.

Excellent customer services, however it’s a shame that the room had a couple of issues. Squeaky bathroom door, faulty TV remote control, the room was dated and the furnitures have seen better days. It would be okay if we were staying at a 3 or 4* hotel but given it was Ritz Carlton, it had really failed to meet our expectations.

The package includes lunch and dinner, it provides lounge access instead with snacks and desserts. It’s tricky and I feel cheated. The blame falls on both Expedia and Ritz Carlton.

Hotels in Shenzhen are not really rated at the same level, in terms of stars, as those in many other metropolitan areas. 5-star ratings here seem to be more like 4-star elsewhere. This Ritz had great service but the room itself is not that well maintained. My biggest gripe is the ventilation in my room (which was upgraded for free to the executive level) was poor. When I entered into the room there was a musty smell. The room was on the warm side throughout the night even though I cranked temperature down to 19C. Very spacious room and bedroom. I got the room on Expedia for a good price so overall it was a good stay. Just don’t expect your typical Ritz I guess.
