"A very large, clean and comfortable apartment. Amazing views of Funchal and cruise ship harbour. I must add a car would be helpful unless you’re into hill walking, as we are. We didn’t have a car but did walk into Funchal on four occasions took about half an hour and a little longer on the return as uphill. I would highly recommend a stay here but with a car unless hardy walkers. The small shop up the hill by the church was enough for our needs and nearby restaurant was excellent. Thank you for...

"Owner called after reservation that there's some pipe related problem in the house and offered an apartment in the middle of Funchal. From the pictures it looked good but when I got there I realized that the apartment was really dirty. Stains in the towels, sheets and in the toilet. I also found cochroachs inside the apartment during the second night. That's when I decided to leave. Owner gave most of my money back."
