"Great stay right downtown. This hotel did a great job acknowledging a special stay and making us feel welcome. Location could not be better for walking to most anything downtown, rooms and products nice, and breakfast was exceptional.
Cons- parking is so confusing. They have no parking at hotel or really nearby with no directions before checking in to get to parking garages. Closest was 10 minute walk in mall parking garage. Hotel is surrounded by one ways and blocked off streets that make it even harder. Also rooms on the backside (away from water) have zero views. Looking right into a gross building covered in pigeon poop. The alley below start moving and shaking at about 6:30am and can be heard very loud in room, even on 3rd floor. "

"My girlfriend and I stayed for over a week at Palheiro Village. Let me start by saying how impressed we were with the whole experience. The space feels very safe and clean, the staff and other guests are friendly and welcoming. The building we stayed in had adequate parking and a short walk to the pool.
During the visit we also played a round at the golf course. Which was a very respectable course, especially for more advanced golfers.
I would definitely recommend a stay at Palheiro Village to freinds and family "
"First time ever we cut our losses and boarded a flight home 60 hours after arrival. This property high in the hills over a motorway in an area with few pavements which where not being dug up was a total rip off. We were expected to know it was up in the winding
hills with 24/7 noise from the motorway and nearest supermarket 45 minute walk away. A taxi back in from there cost €15. Taxis up and down to Funchal approximately €20 a day. We never got any sleep from our arrival on Sunday until we got home Wednesday afternoon. Even with all doors and windows closed the traffic noise was incessant Bay bliss apartment listing was totally misleading and Expedia also at fault for not scrutinising this listing before advertising. Or is that why there were no other reviews on your website,

"It was the nicest place we stayed while in Portugal! Getting into the gates initially was an issue because we didn't understand the process when nobody was at the gate (our Bolt driver was furious). So, more clarity on how to get the remote for that would have been helpful in advance. Also, the Netflix wouldn't work and our accounts could not work from the US. We had a lot of requests for help that often went over 24 hours so that was frustrating. The property itself was nice , but thought we would have a view... but that was only of the parking lot and the back of the places that had the view."

There were some initial maintenance concerns, however they were addressed right away. Great location, easy access to the island. Overall, excellent stay."
