"It's a very nice hotel. All rooms have a balcony and air conditioning. Minor issues in my room were dealt with quickly. There is a beach bar and a terrace bar on the top floor where the sunsets are glorious. Just bear in mind that because of the hotel location, on the beach and in the middle of Santa Pola, it can get a little noisy at times."

"this was our second stay at the Hotel Gran Playa within a year, we checked in late due to flight delays from Madrid to Alicante in the historic (el Apagon) black out in Spain the receptionist explained about the black out and no electricity no lights in our room tired and hungry from the ordeal and no bars or restaurants to go to, a lovely lady getting ready to go home after her shift I was asking where we can get something to eat offered us pizza from the kitchen i think her name is Mercy, we owe her deep gratitude for caring "

"We had a great stay in this lovely apartment in santa pola, apartment was fantastic had everything we needed and more. Very handy washing machine and tumble dryer, we managed to wash and dry all our clothes before going home :) pools were lovely although slides were only on once and we didnt use them. But we would have had they been on more. Apartment was a good mile from town centre , that was only issue. Overall everything was fantastic. "

The estate has multiple pools, but with the beautiful sea and beach just 100m away, who needs them? The host was great with communication and even allowed us a late checkout at no extra cost. The only downside is the need to go up and down stairs frequently, as the master bedroom is on the 2nd floor. Mercadona, a convenient shopping option, is only 1km away. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would love to repeat it. Thank you so much Gareth for a wonderful stay.""
