"Location, staff, and nearby restaurants were great. However, when booking I failed to notice the reference to "shared bathrooms". This was a surprise and something I haven't experienced since staying in hostels as a college student, a long time ago. However, the bathrooms were modern, clean and it worked out ok. I also failed to notice that breakfast is not included or available to purchase at the hotel. There are nice kitchen facilities, but we preferred to breakfast at nearby cafes. It worked...

"The Art Inn is ideally located for exploring downtown Lisbon, the rooms are well eqipped and the breakfast, served on the roof top restaurant, is excellent. Yes, there are lots of stairs to get to the rooms...but there are hills and stairs all over Lisbon...you soon get used to them. And the staff a very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and would visit again."

"The apartment was clean & spacious & had everything we needed. The location is excellent being walkable to Commerce Square, Rossio Square, Castle of Sao Jorge, the Metro & railway stations & the shops. We didn't see any staff as there is no reception service but we were contacted via WhatsApp & given contact telephone numbers for daytime and out of hours if needed. We asked if we could have an upper floor apartment & were on the 4th floor which was very soundproof..it was nice to hear the hustle...

"We stayed 2 nights at The Pessoa and slept well in a comfortable bed. The shower was hot and efficient, but probably the best thing about The Pessoa is it's location adjacent to Carmo Convent. It was so convenient for all we wanted to do in Lisbon and an interesting place to be based. It is a quirky and characterful property, currently undergoing some renovation work which will undoubtedly enhance what's on offer. Our host was helpful, kept in contact with us and allowed us to leave bags after...

"A quirky apartment with two double beds and a dining table. Enjoyed the touch of having breakfast in our room and the bar next door was lovely too. Very close to transport links wherever ud need to go in town and friendly staff. Gangs of youths loitering aimlessly outside all day long was very off-putting."

"I imagine this to have been a very typical old-style Portuguese property where you will have tiles on walls and a sink in your room. But the property was very clean and I slept really well at night. Plus it is in the very middle of Baxia, and you cannot stay at a more interesting place while in Lisbon!"
