"For a Motel 6 (the first ever, apparently), this one can't be beat! The location is ideal and it's clearly been recently renovated and is quite nice. We were on the ground floor with peek-a-boo ocean view (2nd floor would be ideal), but it was quiet, super comfy bed, really nice shower. No complaints! "

"This hotel is clean, quiet and centrally located. We were here for a camp at UCSB and the hotel is about 5-7 minutes away. It is 10 minutes to the beach and 15 to State St. The drive is very convenient and the freeway is right next to the hotel, which makes getting around a breeze. Definitely recommend if you need something priced right and easily accessible. "

"This was our first time staying in Santa Barbara, and Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn stood out the most to us for its great location, reasonable price, and dog-friendly policy. It was easy to find, with plenty of on-site parking, and close to shops (Target) and restaurants within walkable distance. The hotel had a nice grassy area for the dogs and was also pretty quiet. We barely heard any noise from neighboring rooms, which made for a relaxing stay. We also liked that our room came with a patio area - it was nice to get some fresh air in the early morning and to let our dogs out to sunbathe while we got ready. Overall, the hotel was clean and well-kept, though the floors in our room were a bit on the dirty side upon check-in, we ended up going out to buy some slippers to keep our feet clean. We also wished there was a microwave in the room for added convenience - they had one located in the lobby though. Despite a couple of minor issues, the cleanliness, overall comfort/feel of the room (loved the bathroom mirror!), and how dog-friendly it was, would definitely bring us back again. "

"This hotel was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an emergency and had to extend our stay. The staff helped us with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms and dining room were very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"The location is right on the beach within walking distance of several restaurants and Stearns wharf. The milo is has friendly staff, is clean and quiet. It is also a very beautiful property and location."

"I didn’t have high expectations because I just needed a last minute hotel and this one was a great rate and available. Reviews were a little mixed but as someone who travels a lot, I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location is just perfect, the staff were incredibly kind to me and others throughout my whole stay. I was given a wonderful room honoring the request I made for a room on the first floor. The room was huge, like a full apartment. I will definitely return, I couldn’t have asked for more. Clean, quiet, blackout drapes, a wonderful experience. "
