"We stayed three nights at the Hotel Collodi. The location was off the beaten path so nice and quiet but very convenient to everything, especially the Duomo, an easy 3-4 minute walk. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful from assisting us with our bags when we arrived to arranging for a taxi for our dawn departure. The room was clean and well cared for (when we got home, I even looked for the same type of towels they had in the bathroom because I liked them so much) and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast each morning which is included in the price, is also very good. The owner calls it a continental breakfast but there were lots of options and we typically felt like we could make it until mid-afternoon before feeling like we needed to stop to eat again. We would stay there again happily if we return!"

"I don’t know where to start. The place has electronic access and more surveillance than most hotels. It is a lovely old loggia close to Firenze Sta Maria Novello and a 10 min walk from the heart of Florence. You can’t beat this place. Windows opening to the street. Great, clean shared facilities. Warning: rooms are great but modest. Do not expect MW or fridge. Otherwise they have all you need to visit this beautiful place."

"Fantastic hotel! We called last minute and secured a room via Expedia - we arrived and they upgraded us so we could have two beds (king and a twin). Our check in guy was awesome - he carried my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. The room was clean, quiet, air worked great, wonderful & modern bathroom and shower — it was all fantastic! NO bed bugs!! Breakfast is included - had nice options (hard boiled egg, cold lunch meat and cheeses, lots of bread options, crosssnts with and without chocolate, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweets, etc). Nice cappuccino machine too! We had our laundry done - bring by 10am and return by 6pm. It is $25 per bag - and you can fit approx 3-5 days of cloths in bag if you pack good. Staff was so friendly - always willing to answer questions, spoke English well, fun to talk to. Thanks for an awesome stay!!!"
