"We traveled with two other families, 6 adults, 7 kids age 5-16 and had the BEST time here. The staff were all so gracious and friendly. Esteban is a complete gem. He helped us learn about Costa Rica, taught us about all the plants and wild life, helped us with our Spanish and was just generally a joy to have present. We went horseback riding at the falls (definitely recommend) and went to Manuel Antonio national park (also recommend with a guide!). We had dinner cooked for us several nights and ate at a couple of the local restaurants. Mirador Los Chorros (on the hill at the turn) was one of our favorites:) can’t say enough great things about this spot. We’re already scheming for how we can make it back! "

"Peaceful, Authentic, and Truly Special – Santa Juana Lodge My friend Vickie and I spent several unforgettable days at Santa Juana Lodge & Nature Reserve, and we can’t recommend it enough. Getting there was part of the adventure—a scenic four-hour drive from the airport, with the final stretch on a gravel road through rain and cows! But once we arrived, we were welcomed into a peaceful paradise. Our private casita had stunning views of the rainforest and distant Pacific, and we were surrounded by the sounds of nature—birds, monkeys, and fresh mountain air. The lodge blends eco-luxury with deep respect for Costa Rican culture and sustainability. Meals were included, and they were a true highlight—delicious, locally inspired, and beautifully presented. Huge thanks to Lady, Julia, Maribel, and Liz for their incredible cooking and hospitality. Everyone we met was warm and welcoming—from Allan and Hugo, who shared the lodge’s inspiring history, to Andres, Ariel, Randal, Cucho, Karolina, Liz, and Alexis, who made everything run so smoothly. If you're looking for a stay that offers comfort, connection, and adventure in a truly unique setting—Santa Juana is the place. We loved every moment and hope to return!"

"Neither words nor pictures can fully depict just how amazing this property is. Both the property and the views are stunning. Jennifer and Rambo are both on top of communication. Rambo and his team were available throughout our stay, and not only made the most wonderful meals, but facilitated excursions, massages, directions, etc. He prepared an impromptu meal that he wasn’t planning on without hesitation, and it was fabulous. We are already talking about booking our next stay."

"Is a beautiful place indeed the nature is breath taking, but few misses like the internet signal didn't reach oor room and the place is in a remote area so no internet also. Plus the 50 dollars per day for a dog a bit expensive. The rest amazing, friendly staff great views great food o recommend it "

"My daughter nailed it when she said “mama, this house has everything!”. It really does. The kitchen is very well appointed, the beach toys and supplies are such a nice touch, the house is clean, the rooms are comfortable, the outdoor seating is lovely, and that pool … the house is flawless. We truly didn’t want for anything. And having access to a washer and dryer allowed us to travel lighter. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful home with us!! Note: you do need a 4x4 vehicle to access this house. "

"The hotel is very well kept as the surroundings. The food selection is very good and the prices are fair. There are a lot of activities for guests such as bird watching, hiking trails, horseback riding. There is also a Spa that offers diverse services. Excellent place to relax by the River Savegre. I would definitely come back. "
