"Owners very accommodating, let us stash our luggage there since we arrived before check-in. Convenient location a short hike up the hill from the ferry. Rooms very small and basic, more of a place to sleep than hang out. My wife said to think of it as camping, and that helped, but in that case maybe knock 20 or 30 dollars off the price. We found a large spider in the shower which we took to live with a nice family in the country. There was a sign saying to moderate hot water usage, as each room has its own on-demand water heater or something like that, but we didn’t encounter any issues as we showered together. We had lots of water left at the end of each shower…and we enjoy our showers. Shower together! It’s good for the environment, and it’s good for a marriage. The walls are indeed thin as others have mentioned, but we didn’t have any real issue with this except for the morning someone at the nearby market decided to operate a forklift at 5am. Most seemed to do as we did and just use it as a place to sleep, and we were there over a weekend. All in all, recommended as a very basic but more than adequate place to sleep at the end of your day’s adventures. The owners clearly work very hard and are focused on making this a success."

"Nice place to stay. Great location. The only slight negative was we were right next to the pet yard and had a very noisy dog next to us. Not really a complaint though, we knew it was a pet friendly property."

"This hotel is full of charm. Loved it from the minute we pulled up on our bikes and saw all the party lights the barbecue and the live music and picnic tables to our darling cozy bedroom, and awesome comfy mattress."

"It was such a cute place. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there. It is tucked in the woods as the name suggests. The breakfast was very good. We had gluten free lemon blueberry pancakes and they were delicious."

"This house is sits atop the highest peak on San Juan Island, which makes for territorial views of the ocean stretching to Victoria, Canada. We experienced beautiful sunsets, moody morning fog, and even a 4-hour electrical storm that settled over Victoria. We will always remember our time on Mt. Dallas."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. With the exception of a tighter cooking area than expected was roomy and had a great view. Matthew’s Smokehouse a few steps away and island pie a very short drive away for some good BBQ and Pizza. It was peaceful with trails to walk and blackberries to pick for a sweet treat. Looking forward to staying again this j the future."

"House and amenities were fantastic for our purposes. The grandchildren played in the pool at least 3 hours/ day, we all were able to go kayaking daily, the beach was a constant focus of study and discovery. The 4 grands, ages 5-8 pushed each other on the rope swing. The adults walked, rode bikes, ran on surrounding roads in a beautiful setting. House was perfect for 4 families, each having their own space. The unique bunk beds were enjoyed by the littles. We were blessed with sunny days, high of 74 degrees daily for the entire week. The managers were close by to take care of the pool daily. They were responsive to our concerns, and we felt very secure. The big table fit our group of 12 comfortably for regular meals. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! We spent hours watching bald eagles, herons, kingfishers, and harbor seals. Bring your binoculars! Thanks for setting for fantastic adventures"
