Visit Cape Flattery it's beautiful but only go if you are moderately fit, short hike but takes a lot out of you on the way back up the trail. Lake Crescent is amazing! Olympic Game Farm is an amazing preserve and I will definitely support them!

Port Angeles feels as if it is a bit depressed, but coming back from more robust times. We chose it because we were taking the ferry to Victoria. We found a good bookstore and cafe and an excellent restaurant.

We had a lovely dinner on the waterfront, and the National Park main Visitor Center for Olympic National Park is in Port Angeles. It has all the amenities needed for a trip to the peninsula.

I think folks may be surprised at how "small town" port angeles feels but it gives a comfort that I didn't expect. The townspeople were kind and welcoming and it's a great town to stay in when visiting Olympic National Park!

Quiet little town, a great jumping point for other things. Great thai food!
"Chose this motel for its walkability to downtown, which ended up working fine. It's a bit of an uphill coming back, but it wasn't really a problem for us. When we arrived to check-in, we found they had upgraded us to their King Suite, which was really appreciated. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. There was an A/C unit in the room that really helped keep it cool. The pillows are a bit flat, so bring your own pillow if that's an issue for you. I did, and I slept a bit better for it. We could hear the cars go by, but we were back a bit from the road, so it wasn't too bad at all. All in all, a great stay for one night and we'd stay there again."
"What a wonderful gem! The inside looks as beautiful as the pics, but what I wasn’t expecting was how stunning the views were outside. We stayed in the Meadow room and could see the water and Canada from the living room! There’s also a table set up right next to the bluffs where we enjoyed our morning coffee. The hot tub was excellent for post-hike relaxation and the setting is so peaceful and beautiful. The unit also had a massage chair and was very thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen has a coffee machine, microwave and air fryer and there is a grill outside. We typically try to get out first thing in the morning to get to the national park but the setting was so beautiful here one morning we just relaxed at the cabin! The only thing to note is that this location is about 20 mins south of port Angeles (I.e., 20 minutes away from the park) but I thought the extra drive was well worth it for this slice of paradise :) As noted the walls are thin but our neighbors were not around a ton so we didn’t notice it much. "Check in with physical paper work to do- a litter bit slow. Otherwiseo it is a good stay giving that we book only 1 day ahead of time. What we need is just a place to sleep."
