"More of an air b&b situation with a self check in. Fabulous for self sufficient people. The hosts left notes, a list of local restaurants, and a number to text if we needed things.
Clean and kitchy, like staying at your grandparents place. Very cozy and comfy. We hope to come back. "

Cozy Redwood Escape, Fire pit, Ocean Views and 5-10 minutes from old growth redwood hiking trails.
10/10 Excellent
"House has been totally renovated inside with very good furnishings. We loved the location as far as being near multiple Redwood Forests excursions."
"This was a great place for the price and what we were looking to do… be outdoors, hike, and explore the beeches. It was nice to come back to this clean cottage and comfortable beds. Not a lot of amenities in town and the grocery store does not have much ( I bought eggs and they were bad) We went to Trinidad for groceries instead but the local Pizza was great."
Unique farm cabin with WiFi, private washer/dryer, & kitchenette

"We are a family of 4 and one of our teenagers HATES the sound of snoring (which is too bad because the rest of us snore). So a one room chapel house might seem like a weird choice. But the functional nature of this special little spot won each of us over for different reasons. And by the end, we were all ready to relocate to Orick. There were five different options to sleep on, lots of privacy screens, and the property was exactly what our city dwelling family needed to unplug. We pet horses when we arrived and talked to the doggies next door. The bathroom was big enough to have the snore averting teen set up one of the foam twin beds which seems extreme but alas, he is a particular sleeper at the moment. Orick is a great halfway location between Eureka and Klamath. Trinidad hikes, lagoons, and an excellent local pizza spot (Mojo Pizza) ticked off all of our adventuring boxes. We also cooked all our meals in the kitchen which had all our essentials: coffee maker, stove, toaster oven, and sink. Shower pressure good. Washer and dryer meant we went home with suitcases of clean clothes. And the hosts provided soap for dishes, clothes, and bodies. Thanks to them for that. We did call the property manager for a sewage smell by the washer/dryer/tub on day one, guessing they have a dry trap issue. They were responsive, helpful, and came over right away. "
"A perfect place to relax in between hiking in Redwood NP and visiting local beaches. Host was very friendly, respectful, and responsive. The cottage was well apportioned and provisioned (and had the most comfortable bed in the Universe). I would highly recommend staying here if you can."
"This location is a perfect home base for visiting the Redwoods! Central to drive to the best trails and sights from Crescent City to Eureka. Local convenience store a block away. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, washer-dryer, gas grill— all the conveniences of home. Very clean, and decorated so nicely! "
