"This is a very nice motel when traveling in the Northern California coast with modern furnishings and ascetics and kind staff. Actual coffee and water bottles provided in the rooms. Good coffee and donut shop nearby. Economical rates too for a quick one night stay."

"Amazing overnight stay! Clean, comfortable, great breakfast with lots of choices, amenities and bed were great, along with being able to streamcast on the tv my favorite sports programming was very cool! A huge shout out to the shower as well! Hot water, great pressure, and the settings on the shower head actually worked and worked well! Glorious!! The location of the hotel right next to the greatest small airport in the world was perfect for our morning flight. And, a free, quick shuttle right up the street was spot on. Finally, the staff, from check-in to check-out were kind, friendly, knowledgeable and informed!"

"The Scotia Lodge was a charming and fun place to stay. It's an older hotel that dates back several decades, but you can tell that a lot of work has been put into updating and maintaining the building, the rooms and the grounds. The location is great too: only a short drive to the Avenue of the Giants and Humboldt State Park in one direction, and Fortuna in the other with Eureka only a short drive further. The staff were very helpful to us, too, in helping store my mountain bike overnight so that I could rest easy, knowing it was secure. Staff were unfailingly friendly."
