"We booked an executive twin room and were told on arrival that we had been upgraded from that room (which would have been on the 10th, 11th or 12th floor) to Room 1706 near the top of the hotel, with a fantastic view out over Porto to the Douro River and even a little piece of the Atlantic Ocean. The room was extremely quiet and very comfortable (although the pillows could use an upgrade). The internet connection was out our first night, so neither TV nor wifi worked, but we told the desk staff about it when we went out our first morning and it was fixed by the time we got back. Breakfast was very nice, served in a very large room, with lots of choices (including port and sparkling wine!) and specialty coffees available by order. The hotel is not centrally located, but metro stops are within walking distance and the metro is very easy to use, and taxis (inexpensive by US standards) easily got us to train stations for day trips and to the airport for departure."

"The location of the hotel was great! It was a close enough to walk to all of the restaurants and sites but far enough away to be more quiet. The room was very nice but a little warm, even with the air conditioning. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to others."

"Black molds in the shower. You cannot unseen it esp with white tiles. Please take this to improve cleaning your shower ot get an industrial cleaner to remove the molds. The location is 4-5 blocks away from most restaurants and groceries. They provide soap, but bring your conditioner. Staff are ok. There is no fridge here. If you like buying juice or drinking cold beer in your room, There is no fridge, so if you are staying for more than three nights, get a hotel that provides one. Stayed here for one night and its ok. If I need a one-night hotel this is ok. "
