"The location is perfect for a great view of Porto with all amenities close by. The property is a vintage hotel look but could use some updating in rooms with some fresh carpeting and maybe some repairs to some of the walls. Overall very clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast views were beautiful. Could use an updated coffee machine at breakfast time."

"My stay at Hotel Vice Rei was wonderful! If you are good on foot, everything is within a walkable distance. Walking to Rua da Cedofeita and Rua do Rosário takes around 15–20 minutes (10–15 if you're a quick walker like me). Just like other reviewers said, the hotel is a bit outdated, but that doesn't take away from its charm; it brings a warm, cozy vibe. Just be mindful of a bit of noise from the pipes/toilets. I didn't get breakfast at the hotel since I hadn't included it in my booking,...

"Toda la estancia estuvo excelente, las habitaciones están muy bien ubicadas."

"This is a hidden gem and the price is right with parking. A vintage concept and ahead of its time. All the necessities required and very clean. Staff are friendly so we stayed an extra day. We would have come back but all booked up thanks"

"Les chambres Le petit déjeuner L independance"

"Generally speaking, the staff helped as much as they could with what they had to work with. Communication ( language ) difficulties aside, the offerings, despite the relative cleanliness, are sorely lacking. Not having a simple desk to rest one's laptop or cellphone on a charger is a game changer. Having one chair for two people is another."

"We stayed at Ibis Porto São João for two nights and found the location very convenient, with Uber making it easy to get around. The room was simple but very clean and had what we needed for a short stay. The garage was also easy to access. The best feature was the small mall underneath the hotel, accessible directly by a connecting staircase. It had several places to eat and a laundromat, which was especially handy during our trip. Breakfast was okay."

"Breakfast should have more options"

"It was very central in the city and easy to find with comfy beds."

"The room and the bed are small. Think dorm room. No decoration and not much room to put anything. Just a little capsule. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the water was hot. It is in a good downtown location. No amenities as far as I could tell. There was a good breakfast."
