The spectacular view of the Lake from Brissago and the Swiss Alps down to Verbania in the South was always bathed in sunshine during the day. The trains and the trucks nearby didn´t disturb us. We often took the bus from the main road or walked up the hill to a quiet road to the train station to get to the ferry to towns on the other side of the lake."

"We also rented this property exactly 10 years ago. It's a small kind of apartment, lying in the center of Porto Valtravaglia. Apparently the owner does not like to maintain his/hers property: though it was clean at first sight, the shower in the bathroom needs some proper attention, it was molded, and the shower head leaked, the same as 10 years ago......also some wall sockets were broken and the extractor hood in the kitchen and the door of the refrigerator were broken, exactly as 10 years...
