"I am so happy I found this place and lucky that they had a room for us. Situated a stone's throw from form the Castillo di Vezio (which is the best 5 Euros you will spend) this place was an authentic Italian village charm. The owner was kind enough to arrange a ride for us since it was pouring rain and the hike up the hill via the cobble stone road was not something you will (or can do) with luggage. She stayed in touch via Whatsapp and it meant the world to us. Other things we loved! - Pool - Jacuzzi - Free Breakfast (and she puts out a full spread) - Washing machine in the room / air dry out side - Extremely comfy We 100% plan to come back to Verrana and we will see you all next time at II Portichetto"

"The hotel location is excellent - on the airport bus route and close to the railway station if you plan excursions to Brescia for example. It’s on a street with a number of restaurants but also has the option of room service. The rooms are modern and spacious, comfortable and very clean. Numerous options for breakfast - everything you could want in the excellent buffet. I would recommend the hotel without reservation talking about the hotel alone. However it is worth knowing that there is a space across the road 100 metres away which for one day during my stay had an open air rock concert from about 9pm to midnight. The hotel’s double glazing did not keep out the thumping bass and my room was on that side of the hotel. It’s not obvious when those evening rock concerts are going to happen so I suggest specifying a room away from the main road. None of this is the hotel’s fault but it was frustrating for one night not knowing when the music would stop."

"My stay at Bed and Breakfast Casa Nini on the eastern shore of Lake Como was the highlight of my trip to Italy. Mr Daniele, the host, was gracious enough to accommodate my late arrival. He took the time to explain the area to me, provided me with a guide of what to see on Lake Como, made dinner reservations for me and prepared a breakfast perfectly tailored to me. His command of English (and I suspect many other languages) is excellent and he is clearly a very intelligent man, who is very interesting to talk to. The property was extremely close to the train station. The room was surprisingly large, well appointed and had an expansive view of the lake, along with a balcony. The entire property, including the room and common areas, were immaculate. Moreover, the room was refreshed daily, with new towels, soaps and cleaning. I’m honestly still in shock at what I paid for the room and level of care I got. Mr Daniele was even kind enough to keep my bags, offer me a drink and let me use the bathroom well after I checked out, having spent another day exploring. I cannot speak more highly of a property or it’s host. "
