Barceló Maya Riviera - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"This was an absolutely wonderful resort and from beginning to end our experience was amazing! The room, the view, the pools, the beach, just everything was gorgeous. There’s 4 restaurants that are reservation only, there’s a buffet, and two pool bars. The food on the menu, or at least what we tried, were not bad at all. The selection at the buffet was pretty wide. One of pool bars played music and had activities for guests like water aerobics, dance lessons, and sports/games. There’s also 5 other resorts on this property under Barcelo and they offer shuttle service every 20mins if you want to visit them. We were told that if you book with the Maya Riviera Adults Only we can access all the amenities at the other resorts. We went to the Maya Palace and it was really nice there too. On the way there, we went to the mall and casino. Lastly, we want to commend the staff for their excellent service. Everyone was kind, ready to help with a smile, just beautiful people. 10 out 10 experience, highly recommended! Thank you!"

"I chose Hyatt Vivid for a solo trip to Playa and it did not disappoint. The property is clean, the rooms are spacious, and the pool was phenomenal. I think the food is on par with other All Inclusives at similar price points. I have had better food but paid a premium for it. The staff were amazing and so helpful and accommodating."

"The room, service, people amenities were all at on beyong my expectations. I only have 2 little comments: 1. Check in was not as smooth. There was only one employee behind the counter while there was like 5 families waiting in line. It took her like 20 minutes with the family ahead of me. The second point is the food. The main buffet (food market) was good but we didn’t have the chance to try any other restaurant ( a la carte) due to the unavailability of reservations spots eventhough i tried to make reservation the night i got there ( stayed 6 nights) with no luck to find a dining spot other the the buffet. So saying you have multi dining options to your visitors while they can’t have the chance to try any of them is not right. Other than that. We had a blast and we will recommend the place to the family and freinds."

"We enjoyed the shows each night. The staff at swim-up bar were kind and attentive. We didn’t like that upon arrival we were basically harassed with staff wanting to book us on excursions even after telling them that we already booked what we wanted. We had to be super direct and firm in order for them to stop. Didn’t like that we couldn’t book a restaurant until the third night and they wouldn’t allow us to book multiple days at a time. We stayed here mainly because they offered 8 restaurants but only 4 were available each night. For a resort of this size, this is insane. When we were still in the pool, housekeeping came (4 hours before pool closing) and removed all the towels that were on loungers. I get that people leave them but if we have our bags and shoes there, why would our towels be removed? Kind of annoying that we had to walk further than necessary to get more towels. Made zero sense. Yet, cups full and empty were left surrounding pool and hot (cold) tubs the entire time. Never cleared until pool closing. We have stayed at many resorts and these were all firsts."
