"We enjoyed our trip and stay at Hotel Heron. The facilities were beautiful and well maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. The only criticism from my husband was he missed having a comfortable reading chair or coffee make in the room. He had to go down to the lobby to find coffee and comfortable seating in order to read before the rest of us woke up and got moving. We enjoyed watching Alexandria’s birthday fireworks from the rooftop bar area- a big bonus for sure! "

"This is a must stay for both the price and location. Located just across the road from the Metro, you have easy access to DC without the need to drive or use a ride share. The area outside the hotel is very nice, and the inside of the hotel is very clean as well. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to go to DC without staying in DC. "
