"Stayed as a family of 3. Room had 3 single beds, and a couch that you cannot open. There is almost no room left for walking in the room (small size). However it was very very clean hotel. Staff was going above and beyond. They are very helpful. Here are pros and cons; Pros: Location is perfect (great stores, right across 7/11, very close to Nishiki market, walking distance to shops and Gion). Very safe area, close to several public transportation. Bathroom is very clean and functional. Cons: room size is very small, especially if you have hardcover luggages. Even though light is coming from outside, our room has frosty windows, there is no way to see outside."

"This was by far the BEST hotel we stayed in on our trip to Japan. It was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff and check in process was so smooth and efficient offering us a welcome drink. Also our suitcases we forwarded from our hotel before in Tokyo and the staff had put the luggage in our hotel room waiting for us which was amazing. The hotel offers so many extras with a lounge area in the basement with a room full of free snacks and drinks 24/7. Also our rooms were provided with skincare sets, razors, toothbrush body towels etc. it also rained one day and they provided us with a free umbrella to rent. The room was so nice and spacious which is rare in Japan we found. We were also a three bed room and which didn’t matter it still felt spacious. The beds were so comfy and the shower was amazing and spacious. The location is great being only around a 30 minute walk to the geisha district and about 20 minutes from Shinkyogoku shopping area. We barely used public transport which was great. However if you do use it there is a metro line only about 3 minutes away which connects you to Kyoto station. The breakfast was amazing, a huge buffet with such a range of items the French toast was amazing!! Definitely get the breakfast add on as it’s so worth it and you also get a voucher for a light snack around lunchtime. Overall I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough I wish we stayed here longer because I loved Kyoto so much but also for this hotel!!"
