"We wanted to try some place new for a romantic weekend and Farmers Guest House was perfect! Our room, The Charlotte, was warm and comfortable for relaxation. The breakfast that was made fresh every morning was by far the best we have ever had. The little extras like wine time with cheese and crackers made the weekend even better. We are already planning on going back. If I could have given this a 10 star review, I would have! You will not regret spending time at the Farmers Guest House!!"

"Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. "Hotel is in a perfect location with lots of places to shop around. They have a restaurant in the hotel, which we didn't try but it looked and smelled delicious. We only stayed one night and the room was in excellent condition. The hallways and room doors and beautiful. The front desk was very professional and courteous. Would stay in this lovely hotel again on my next visit to Galena!"

"Area around hotel had many homeless begging people for things and was kinda dirty. Hotel was very nice. Room was exceptional!!! We were disappointed that the pool was closed along with the hot tub for renovations. This was not shown on the Internet when we booked. This was a big reason why we booked this hotel.
