The Colonial Hotel

"We chose the Colonial Hotel because it was closest to an event we were attending in a nearby town. We usually stay at name brand hotels that have franchised properties across the country and that we have experienced as predictably good places to stay. The Colonial Hotel was definitely the right choice. Their front desk staff was welcoming and the room was comfortable and clean. We arrive late in the evening and did something we seldom do -- had dinner at the restaurant on the property. The Grille had a nice menu, the waiter staff was personable and attentive, and we enjoyed our seafood and beef meals. Should we return to this beautiful area of Massachusetts, this would be where we would stay again."

"The newly renovated Econolodge is a great place to stay. If you were looking for a safe, clean, quiet motel this is it. The staff was very friendly. They have great coffee in the lobby, though there are not coffee machines in the rooms. There are no hair dryers, but the owners will happily let you borrow one. The TV in the room is large. The Heating cooling system is a wall unit which is easily adjustable. If you need more towels just ask ! The shower and hot water were plentiful.we would definitely stay here again."

"Heather and Jason are such accommodating hosts! If you’re looking for a small town mom and pop cozy spot to spend a night or more at, this is the spot. They’ll text you details and ask what you’d like for breakfast! Waters and tea can be available 24/7. They even provide pads, dental floss, make up wipes, etc in the bathrooms if needed. If you need anything else, just let them know. They also own two beautiful and super sweet dogs! They’re usually away from guests unless requested for that fur baby moments that you miss. It’s great because I always miss my fur babies when I travel. Such a quaint and quiet spot to relax and enjoy my time from a busy city! I will be back and hopefully sooner than later."

"A great old historic B&B in a beautiful neighborhood with an extremely helpful staff who even made breakfast to order for me. I enjoyed it and the area so much that I stayed an extra night."

"I liked the style and decor of the house - historical but not fussy. The large yard and gazebo were a relaxing place to stroll around. (you can pick apples). The atmosphere/vibe was relaxed and welcoming. David, the host, was very pleasant. The breakfasts were quite good (omelets, meat, fruit, muffins) two of the three days of our stay. Mondays are continental breakfast, which was not the same caliber and angered some of the guests. They need a work around for this. The nearby businesses are a delightful throwback to an earlier era: the Creamie Ice cream shop, the IGA market, etc. The Four Star Brewery has a fantastic outdoor space/yard and excellent hard cider. Did not try the beer."
