"The young lady on reception was wonderful. She could not have been lovelier and i stay in a lot of hotels from expensive to budget and i was so impressed with her. You need to do everything you can to keep her because she made that short stay feel like i was staying at a much more fancy hotel."

"Great location - just beside the train station. City centre shopping, restaurants and the Glasshouse Gateshead all within easy walking distance. Fabulous view from high floor room. Room spacious and well equipped. Breakfast included - lovely scrambled eggs and a waffle maker (never seen that before!). Staff friendly, welcoming and engaged -from check in to late night staff. Nathan on reception deserves special mention - best check in ever from someone who made me feel individual and welcomed....

"Perfect value for money in heart of Newcastle. Good breakfast - except for coffee machine - not the best coffee. Not sure why there's paper cups - use proper cups so don't have to throw away. "

"The hotel is on top of a lovely, vibrant, atmospheric pub (hence some music until late). Very friendly welcome, helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room a little more basic than expected, our "standard" TV did not work but after some help with the WiFi we could get Neflix etc. Bed was clean and comfy, the shower nice and powerful, bathroom a little on the small side. There was a kitchenette however which was great, with kettle and microwave oven, could be useful if staying...
