"Great location by village green and 2 min walk to beach. Free parking around village green if you can get a space. Cottage has bedrooms on ground floor, one has double bed, be aware that if you have bedroom window open you will hear the bin men and delivery drivers from very early in morning from 6am and they are right outside the window. I wouldn't call the other bedroom a bedroom, bunk beds pushed up against a wall and tiny, more like a corridor. Had to clean cobwebs from light fitting in bedroom. Living area is upstairs and sadly the beach view was spoilt by window being dirty, actually all windows were dirty. Bathroom on ground floor is a good size and a huge walk in shower. Cleaning not up to a good standard, maybe hampered by the huge amount of "seaside" themed stuff everywhere, dust on a lot of them. Bottom sheet had mildew on it. No welcome pack."

"At the busy time of day when the majority of guest eat, the staff still cooe and keep an eye on what needs replenishing with the hot breakfast."

"We received a very warm welcome from Lin and, for the one night that we stayed, we found the top floor bedroom cosy, well equipped and immaculately clean. The freshly cooked breakfast was very tasty. We enjoyed our stay."

"Excellent place to explore the local area. Rooms nice and clean and well equipped. Bedrooms were a lovely size, bright and airy.Close to local amenities. We would recommend the local bakery, particulalry the Uglibuns and we had a great meal at the London Inn. "

"We had a wonderful stay at The Ness. The location is beautiful with amazing views! All staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and highly enjoyed by my two young sons. The homemade granola was a lovely touch. We would recommend to friends and family, and look forward to returning again."

"The house was ideally located for getting to the beach and train station. The decor is great with lots of framed film and music posters. The pool table was good for family fun with everything being clean and well equipped. "

"Property was good and we would use again. Shaldon is a small but very nice village with decent places to eat and a few nice shops. London Inn best place to eat. Property pictures nearly put us off booking as not really detailed enough. Toilets and bathroom are small, floor 1 has toilet with large sink, floor 2 has bathroom with quite small but good overhead shower, toilet, and tiny sink. Overall no problem for couple. Kitchen is fine and well enough equipped, lounge area is great for couple but only sofa and one folding chair. Parking in internal carport, big plus. "
