Naples was a great city, i have visited many places in Italy but none compare to Naples! Lots of history, and we found people to be friendly and helpful! Very affordable compared to other Italian cities too. Lots of great restaurants and night life.

The centre of Naples is full of life and energy - as well as its historic culture. We did not find it any more unsafe than any other busy city. It's Pompeii and Herculaneum (easy by train) are both must-sees, if you haven't done so before.

Naples has multiple impressive Catholic churches. The archeological museum has excellent displays of Roman art, statues and artifacts from Pompeii. The metro is reasonably priced and efficient. Wear good walking shoes to tour historic Naples

Take the funicular to St Elmos Castle from Montesanto. The 360 degree views are stunning. The Vesuvius trains to Pompei and Sorrento are very good value (3 Euro single) but can be very busy. Tickets only available at Napoli Garribaldi station

Naples is a joyous, fun, dirty, busy, beautiful city. It can seem scary (the traffic! the dim, narrow, trash-filled streets!), but if you plunge in and exercise some reasonable caution, you'll have a wonderful time (and some amazing meals!).

Naples is not for everybody. If you're American, ask yourself do you like NYC? If the answer is "yes" then you'll likely love Napoli! Of the main cities in Italy, Naples feels the most authentic, the people are warm, like the climate.

Naples is fascinating. Loads of history, plenty to see. However it does have an unpleasant side, rubbish in the streets, street sleepers, horrendous traffic. You have to ignore all of that and open your eyes to its other charms.
"This hotel is in a fantastic location, convenient for food, shopping, beach and a great view. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Pool is nice although a little odd - very small so booking is needed, saltwater although that didn’t bother us. It’s also very odd to have to wear a swimhat, even google couldn’t full explain why this is needed!"

"Great hotel for a short stay in Naples. Booked as near Garibaldi station for easy transport links. Pompeii/vesuvius tour collects at door of hotel and Alibus to airport right across the road. Lovely big room with a nice balcony and views. Very comfortable room, sky tv available for movies and large bathroom. Lots of space and storage. Service was friendly and helpful. Kettle was broken and another brought up straight away. Breakfast had a huge selection of options including hot and cold. Breads were delicious and lovely pastries. Other reviews mention the area but we always felt safe and lots of shops, restaurants, bars nearby. Recommend taking line 2 down to Chiaia for a stroll along water front. "
"Hotel is quite nice and modern and clean. It's in a more industrial area but close to the airport. I chose it because of 1) airport proximity; 2) airport shuttle; 3) parking - hard to find hotels with onsite parking in Naples. This gave us options to turn in our car early or not depending on how things went.
Staff is very helpful - we had a car and chose the parkiing option. The valet service and staff were helpful with driving tips and information. Everyone spoke good English.
There are several restaurants inside the atrium area but not really anything outside the hotel complex. We did not venture out. We spent 1 night before flying out the next day.
