The early morning taxi to the airport with Theodore was punctual and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again when in Rethymno!"

"We will definitely come back to this lovely hotel. Rethymnon is a great town, where the old town blends with the new, offering something for everyone and a great choice of reasonably priced restaurants. The Ideon is perfectly located on the sea front near the Venetian harbour on the outskirts of the old town. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated to a high standard. We had a room on the first floor with sea views and a small Juliet balcony. My only criticism would be that the balcony wasn't big enough to sit on and a small amount of road and noise from the cafe terrace below can be heard during the evenings for a short period. Other than that the room, although small, was very well equipped with lovely comfortable beds and good pillows and lovely bathroom with a fantastic drench shower and good quality toiletries. We booked on a B&B basis and breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The cafe bar also offer a limited snack menu which is excellent quality and good value. The pool area is lovely but only has a limited number of beds however, although the hotel was very busy, we had no problem in finding free beds and parasols. Finally, the staff at the hotel are all fantastic, without exception. Always friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you Hotel Ideon for a lovely stay!"
