"We enjoyed this hotel immensely and highly recommend it! This hotel has a wonderful breakfast with a wide selection of food options to suit everyone's tastes and with a beautiful view of the beachfront. Free parking was across the hotel entrance with a huge area to park. We did daily day trips to explore Crete, and there were always parking spots available when we returned at the end of the day. We chose this hotel due to the beautiful views from the balconies, the cleanliness, and the parking. We easily would walk for a leisurely walk into Old Town in 15 minutes. Even taking a taxi was very cheap which we did on way back one evening. The rooms were modern, clean and towels changed every day. The front desk staff were so polite and catered to all of our needs. The owner Mr, Stelios also greeted us and took us to our rooms and explained how the air conditioner worked, where all the amenities were. We enjoyed seeing him everyday! Their pool is amazing, and the pool deck with a beautiful beachfront view had an amazing bar for drinks and food. The bar person is very nice and works hard getting drinks and food ready for your order. Loved the pool area with the sun loungers and perfect views! This hotel will not disappoint at all. We had our two sons and their girlfriends with us, so we had 3 rooms in total and everybody enjoyed Archipelogos hotel. We surely would stay here when we go back to Rethymnon. We had an awesome stay! "Amazing experience overall. Great check in, great room, great space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Cold bottle of wine, fruit and water in the fridge and amazing breakfast. Staff also supper friendly. One of the best bookings I’ve made on hotels.com for my family (who tend to be picky) "

"A fabulous villa for several reasons.The owner Emma and her parents whose home this was, were exceptional hosts. Emma communicated directly with us from start to finish by WhatsApp or SMS. We were greeted on arrival with a home made Greek pasta dish which lasted us 2 days! Any questions we had were answered promptly and effectively. Emma is very conscientious. They changed the bed linen and gave the villa a clean twice in a fortnight. The villa itself was exactly as described and even better! We appreciated the veranda area which is huge, and can be isolated from the pool area by a lockable gate. There is plenty of play things for children of all ages. The pool was not cold and extremely well maintained with daily cleaning. AC worked well, used at night. The BBQ house is enormous and kitted out with everything needed including a fridge and washing facilities plus toilet. It was lovely to hear the bells tinkling on the sheep on the hillside around the villa. It’s only a few minutes to local shops by car but you feel as if you are in rural Crete. The views from the veranda especially the sunset in June magnificent. Not may mosquitos in the evenings either. It’s a good position as plenty of lovely places to see and it’s not far to cross to the south side of the island from the villa. "

"We were a family party ranging from 3 months to 75 years old. We all agreed that this was the best Villa we've stayed in yet as a family! Our highlights were the pool, the playground and the gardens. There are two well stocked kitchens and fridges and we used the bbq on multiple occasions. It was cleaned for us and the bins were taken out daily/garden arranged each morning. It's these little touches that we loved. Breakfast was fab!!! Lots of choice and delicious. Special shout out to Lina for the top communication and hospitality. She arranged masseuses to come to the house (recommend the deep tissue!) booked taxis and recommended (and booked) a restaurant which was perfect! Nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Lina for her cooking too. We had three course meals cooked by her on two nights which made it feel like such a treat. Particularly as we had little ones sleeping so couldn't really go out. Food was amazing! Loved it all but can recommend the moussaka, Cretan risks, meatballs, lamb, potatoes were to die for etc etc. Don't miss the chocolate cake... No negatives but the a/c rules were tricky to navigate for the children who went to bed early. "

"We were a group of three families, kids ages ranging from 8-19! With five parents. We were 14 total. The villa was fantastic/stunning more spacious than the photos showed and at a really high specification. Individual apartment style bedrooms worked really well as families could cook separately but eat together. It gave the teenagers privacy and much sought after independence. The beach views were stunning and the lifeguard on duty on the beach infront of the villa meant we all felt safe. The pool not big was perfect for everyone to cool down/take a dip or play catch in, we loved the motor in it to enable you to have a proper swim. The outside dinning area was perfect for lunchtime/evening gatherings and plenty of sun beds for all during the day. It was very private too.The host was extremely attentive and informative and helped out with restaurant and bar recommendations and answering any queries we had. We didn’t have cars which was no problem as there were really nice restaurants nearby and Rethymno old town was only a 20 min walk or less depending on fitness, which was perfect for evening meals. There are so many takeaways that too that delivered serving gyros for the insatiable appetites of the growing teenage boys. I can’t recommend this place enough. We used the think villa recommend Cretan Taxi service to get 12 of us too and from the airport and to take us to the Aqua plus water park, they were excellent and even sorted the entrance tickets. Perfect family hol!"
