"Such a lovely welcoming, easy going hotel. The service from arrival to departure was amazing. Front staff, bar staff and restaurant staff all friendly and happy to help with a smile! Rooms spacious and clean with lovely Dove wash products. Offers additional ‘bits & bobs’ that may have been forgotten like toothbrush, feminine products etc which is a lovely bonus! Highly recommend! "Just two nights stay. We had room only as there are so many very good eateries within a 10 minute walk. An NCP car park is in the street just opposite the hotel - not cheap but very convenient. The HdV itself is fantastically clean, well maintained and quiet and it was a pleasure staying there"

"I was not sure about this hotel given the reviews but I was very happy with my stay. Maybe there has been a lot of improvements from past reviews? We had an executive room, we were just passing through but the room was great, bathroom clean if basic but a massive room and a massive tv which we never got to use. Not sure what else you could want for the price. We didn’t do breakfast but the lobby and food area looked really good. Car park and exterior doesn’t do it justice but happy we chose it...
