"Grand Solmar is a beautiful hotel. The architecture is traditional and elegant and blends seamlessly into the rocky cliffside. If you can't afford the Waldorf Astoria, this is a great choice. The ocean front infinity pools have amazing views of crashing turquoise surf. We always found lounge chairs available at the pools and didn't have to get up at 6 am to get one. "We really enjoyed our stay here! The grounds and the pools were always very clean and the staff was very friendly. The bathrooms in the rooms could use and update but it’s a great location right on a beach that’s very close to town and dimmable beaches. It was a great base camp for our stay!"
