"Secrets Akumal was an extraordinary experience that exceeded my expectations in many ways. The food was delicious, the pools were pristine, and the entire hotel, including our room, public bathrooms, and everything in between, was remarkably clean. Secrets Akumal truly pays attention to every detail. The beach, unfortunately, was not great due to seaweed, but this was not the hotel’s fault. They did everything possible to clear it. But the most impressive aspect of the resort was its service team. Jonas, Max, Ara, and the rest of the entertainment team were all incredibly friendly and fun. The wait staff was also excellent. Diego from Market Cafe, Raul from Portofino, Santiago from Beach Service, and many more, all provided great service and attentiveness. Our room was always clean and stocked with everything thanks to Silvia and our concierge, Leidy. I highly recommend trying this resort out. You won’t regret it. "

The architecture is breathtaking, seamlessly blending with the jungle and ocean, offering some of the most stunning views I’ve ever experienced. Every corner invites peace and reflection. The restaurant experience was unforgettable — each dish was crafted like art, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. Dining surrounded by nature with the sounds of the sea made every meal magical. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and respectful of the peaceful, healing energy of the space. You truly feel cared for in every interaction. One of the things I appreciated most was the quietness and sense of calm — no TVs, no loud distractions — just nature, stillness, and intentional design that encourages you to slow down and reconnect. "We absolutely love ABR! Our family has been visiting this resort for the past 15 years, and it continues to be a special place for us. Each year, we notice thoughtful updates and improvements, all while maintaining the natural beauty of the grounds, which blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Everything is always impeccably clean, and the staff is consistently kind, polite, and attentive. We especially enjoy the 8 AM yoga sessions, daily beach volleyball, and the wide variety of delicious food and drinks. While the evening entertainment could use some improvement—most nights the bands don't quite energize the crowd—there’s always a great atmosphere in the main palapa after dinner. Sundays are a highlight, with a fantastic Salsa/Cumbia band that gets everyone on the dance floor! During our recent stay, the sargassum issue affected the beaches, which was unfortunate but beyond anyone’s control. Akumal Bay is typically home to some of the most stunning beaches and snorkeling we’ve ever experienced. Overall, we love this resort for its welcoming, international vibe and outstanding customer service. We look forward to returning again!"

"If I could give Be Tulum a higher rating, I would. This hotel is so special and unique. We stayed in the alcove suite with a plunge pool. It was like we were tucked away in the jungle. So peaceful, serene, and lots of privacy. The room was unique and clean, and the air conditioner was a nice relief from the heat. The restaurants here had amazing food, with beautiful views. The staff overall—from the front desk, to restaurants, and maids—were wonderful. Very attentive and polite. The concierge checked in daily, was super helpful in booking taxis and ATVs, and offered suggestions for other things to do. This was helpful since the seaweed was in full effect, but it didn't take away from the stay or the trip. It was still beautiful, could go in the ocean and lay on the beach beds. Don't let that stop you from booking!"
