"Very good getaway spot. The rooms were fine in the main building. The restaurant was only average considering the price they were charging. But everyone working there was very helpful and lovely. It’s a quiet spot on a beautiful island."
"The house worked great for our group. Came over to enjoy Pinder and play Disc Golf and the house worked out great. The views were amazing and the patio is overlooking. The water are fantastic."
"The British Columbia southern gulf islands are special by any global standard, and each of the islands has a unique character based on its geography and community. Our stay at the Mayne Island Resort allowed us to experience the best of Mayne Island. The accommodations were perfect for a great night's rest and preparing a nice meal (or taking advantage of the on-site dining room) after a day of sea kayaking in Bennett Bay, Campbell Bay to the north or waters to the south, toward Saturna Island.
We enjoyed the hot tub and pool (spa area) and appreciated the easy kayak launch site on Bennett Bay and easy walking distance to the Gulf Islands National Park area along the northern shore of Bennett Bay and southern shore of Campbell Bay. We particularly enjoyed sitting on our patio in the morning savouring a cup of coffee and watching / listening to the birds. We're not birders per se, but within a half hour or so each of three mornings were able to identify (through their songs using the Merlin app) 23 to 25 different bird species including three species of swallows (Purple Martins, barn swallows, violet-green swallows), and frequently saw raptors such as bald eagles, osprey and a red-tailed hawk, along with a blue heron.
...and we sauntered down the road for a really great craft beer at Mayne Island Brewing on two afternoons. This is a not-to-be missed part of the Mayne Island visit. Overall, Mayne Island resort was a great place to unwind and find new experiences."
Bella Haven on Saturna....
Oceanfront Beach House....
Perfect Getaway for Two.
10/10 Excellent
"Wow! This is an exceptionally well designed space that is incredibly well appointed and located in an idyllic setting. Sue and Rob have thought about every detail, from the deck with fire table and Weber barbecue (where we also enjoyed watching the rufous hummingbirds) to the sleeping, cooking and other amenities. This is a great place for launching sea kayaks for an exploration of world class paddling waters or just settling in to watch the sunset with a nice glass of wine.
Sue and Rob were great hosts and were available to attend to any of our needs, while respecting our privacy. If you are looking for serenity, quiet and dark skies at night with no interruptions, this is the place to go."
360-degree incomparable ocean views. The best viewpoint on Pender Island.
10/10 Excellent
"- friendly host who was accommodating - the interior and exterior were very clean- lots of outdoor furniture and seating areas- large dining table that seats more than the sleeping capacity- majestic fly-bys of many large birds- orca sightings - no proper cooktop (temporary situation, single and double induction cooktops were provided which worked fine for our needs and there is a side burner on the bbq)- no common area TV- the hosts were in the unit above which we were not aware of when booking. Perhaps we missed it. Unsure if this information needs to be disclosed. In any event, it was not intrusive for us but maybe for others. - we found the interior and exterior lights to be very bright with limited ability to adjust with dimmers. This was a personal preference. A dimmer over the dining table would be nice. - overall, we had a wonderful reunion with friends in a space that accommodated everyone very comfortably."
