"Villa Poggio Scalette was truly a dream place to stay on our vacation. The pictures cannot do this beautiful home justice - you have to see it for yourself!! The view, the amazing property, the Tuscan touches in the decorating with all the modern amenities - we already cannot wait to go back!!! We slept so comfortably and had everything we needed at the house for some relaxing afternoons and evenings enjoying wine, good food, and the view :) Our host Simone was very communicative and so helpful...

"Paolo was very helpful showing us the way to the house and inviting us to use vegetables from the garden behind the house. The house is very nice, completely equipped (dishwasher, washing machine etc.), spacious and very clean. It is on a quiet road; especially on the backside you have lots of privacy. The pool is great and there is a lot of space for children to play. The only disadvantage we could think of, is that there are no shops or restaurants nearby; you always need to go by car."

"A large property off the beaten track and best accessed using a small(ish) car. Saw a wild boar returning to the house one night! Great garden and pool area - loads of space to do what you want in the house and outside and a variety of terraces to use. Got everything you need, but some if it is quite dated. Big cooker for those that eat in. Charcoal kettle bbq was great, but needs some attention to the handle which was loose. Taxis into Camaiore proved difficult to get. Other properties around,...

"I just spent a couple of nights in this gorgeous villa, just 5 min drive from Lucca Old Town! The place feels homey, very comfy beds and everything you need and more than that! Gardens are well kept and everything has got the new and taken care of taste! Carmine, the host, organised for me pick up from Pisa Airport, only 25 min away!
